The world has moved from the ‘full-time mom’ age to the ‘working mom’ age. In the past, women were usually expected to tend to the children and household chores, however with the economic conditions right now, it is difficult to live a luxury life with just one salary and hence women took up jobs too. Also, female education has rapidly improved within a few decades and women all over the world are taking up careers while not being confined to their homes. However, males have not improved on their household chores, hence now the women may have to take care of the house and her job too. so here are some frequent problems they face.

  1. Extra costs

If you don’t have your parents or extended family to help out with your kids, you will have to spend heaps on a nanny or day care facilities. Of course you won’t have to worry about your kids as the friendly day care facilities will take extremely good care of them, however such quality service comes with a price. Also, some countries offer state allowances for parenting and once both parents start earning, this allowance will be reduced and you will receive a lesser amount than before. This lost income is of course a cost for you.

  • Stress

Managing your home and work evenly is a very difficult and stressful task. You will constantly be multitasking; doing the kids’ homework, cooking, finishing up a report, making important business calls, doing laundry and the list goes on. Such stress often leads to venting out your anger on your family and this is very unhealthy for your relationship with your family. You might get easily irritated with your family members, which might lead to your kids distancing themselves from you as you pose to become a ‘monster’.

  • No time for yourself

When was the last time you took a day off just for yourself? Probably never. With so many responsibilities up your sleeve, you must have never taken a break from your busy lifestyle to focus on your wellbeing. This can pose major health issues, both physically and mentally. It is vital that you take time to hit the gym, read a book, engage in a hobby or do anything that makes you happy. Your social life might be crumbling down so make room for a movie with your girlfriends, to visit family, to go on a trip to the beach etc. Remember that as much as it is important for the money to flow in, it is also important to stay healthy enough to enjoy that money.
